When we set out to publish Sam Harris’s book The Middle of Somewhere , we knew it would be a long journey. We had 12 years of family diary work to mold into one photobook.

Every single detail, from tea soaked notes inserted into the book, to the hand cut title strips glued on the cover, was carefully planned.

Sam worked with us every step of the way, with his wife Yael and daughters Uma and Yali pitching in. We feel incredibly honored to have collaborated with this family in the telling of their story.

We’re now on press in Verona, Italy, working with the skilled team at EBS. After months spent planning, dummy making, searching for materials, it’s all coming together.

    Sam,

I’m working my way through my project right now. I’m doing it all here at home in my studio, which is, in fact, just an architect’s desk at the top of the stairs.

    Your work delights me.

I look forward to hopefully bumping into you on July 2nd and purchasing a book.

    – Paul.
